About Breezemount Motorsport

The team, the name and the cars all stem from one man’s passion for fast cars and support to local motorsport. That man is Philip Shields and here at Breezemount Motorsport there is always a fine display of contemporary race cars that Philip has sourced with the view to race or to refurbish for resale.

Philip himself pilots the cars in various championships and indeed enjoys success in races held both north and south of the border.  It is this passion that fuels not only race participation but the enjoyment of having exotic race cars out on the track for all to see or on display in the race paddock for a closer examination.

Breezemount Motorsport is a small racing concern built out from Philip’s involvement in the Irish racing scene and has seen many different cars pass through its doors, tin tops GT's to current single seaters have graced our workshop floors.  From 2007 to early 2010 Breezemount Motorsport held the official Juno Sports Prototype franchise for Ireland.  Philip extended his support to up and coming drivers in 2009 by agreeing to run his own Juno for driver evaluation for the Dunlop Irish Young Driver of the Year award.

Breezemount motorsport may be small but the high standard of work that leaves the workshop near Hillsborough is a hallmark of what we aspire to achieve.  All work issues on the cars fall into the hands of Stuart Parker who’s motorsport  CV includes world rally service to 4-time world champion Juha Kankkunen, various F3 teams as a #1 mechanic and finally a number of years as part of a Ferrari development team to the Sultan of Brunei.  So a top class standard of work output and solid knowledge base for all things technical is ensured.
